Important: Drugs in this section should be used only by doctors with anaesthetic training and when resuscitation equipment is available.

 

 

Anaesthetics, General (Intravenous)

 

 

Etomidate

  • 20mg/10mL amps

Note:

  • Etomidate does cause adrenal suppression.

 

 

Ketamine

  • 200mg in 20mL vial
  • 500mg in 10mL vial
  • 1g in 10mL vial

Note:

  • Ketamine may be used as an analgesic in low doses. 

 

 

Propofol

  • 500mg in 50mL (1%) prefilled syringe
  • 1g in 50ml (2%) prefilled syringe
  • 200mg in 20mL (1%) amp
  • 500mg in 50mL (1%) vial
  • 1g in 50mL (2%) vial

 

 

Thiopental

  • 500mg vial
